Having main loudspeakers with a very low bass response & F113s in the rear, It sounds better than dedicating a sub(2) exclusively for LFE.

My processor can accept 3 sub master outputs. I've tried it both ways & also prefer the stereo outs of my pre.

However, I would not recommend this method if your main loudspeakers are not up to the task of rolling off the low frequencies well.
