Default Charles' a.k.a. chops-tube's System...

It's been quite a while since I've been on here, but a lot has changed, as in new apartment in a different town as well as some of the equipment.

A quick rundown of the gear...

2-Ch portion:
Belkin PureAV PF40
Onkyo TX-NR809 - Bi-amping the main speakers
Nakamichi RX-303
Denon DR-M30HX
Sony CDP-397
Technics SL1700 Mk II
Azden GX-50
dbx 224x
NHT 2.9

5-Ch portion:
Samsung 50" Plasma TV
EliteScreen 100" Motorized Screen
Epson Home Cinema 720 Projector
Sony PS3
Sony SLV-575UC VCR
AV123 X-Statik
AV123 X-Voce
Polk Audio PSW-505

Stuff that isn't stayin':
Monarchy Audio SM-70 Pro
AV123 X-Statik
AV123 X-Voce
Polk Audio PSW-505
Kenwood GE-770B
Pioneer CT-W600R

The Polk subs are being sold because the NHT 2.9's don't need them (LOL). The AV123's are being sold because I'll be going with all NHT (AudioCenter 2 and 2.5's for rears). The Kenwood EQ and Pioneer dual deck are going into the bedroom system.

As you can tell from the pics below, some listed items have yet to make it into the system. We just moved a month ago, so it's taking a little bit of time to get everything situated. And for fun, I decided to bi-amp the NHT's with the Onkyo receiver. It has an option to use two dedicated surround channels for bi-amping, so I figured I'd try it out. Sounds quite good actually!

Also, this time around, I'm taking somewhat of a "vintage route" with the system. The cassette decks sound excellent and I have tons of tapes. The Sony CD player isn't the greatest, but it does sound pretty darn good considering, and I love the looks of the old style fluorescent display. My really good Pioneer Elite SACD player now resides in my headphone rig. The Azden EQ and dbx are just there for show. They receive a signal, but it just loops through them and NOT back into the system.

Lastly, once everything is the way it should be, I'll whip out the DSLR and take some better pics. For now, you guys will just have to deal with my Galaxy S3 pics.
