Method X: ARO on each sub is correcting the response of the sub at the measured point (listening position). The MEN220 is correcting the speaker response at the measured point. However, as stated above, a third measurement device is required to understand the total system response. Method Y suggests using the MEN220 to correct the total response, in lieu of having software and hardware to measure the total system performance.

Okay.... onto Method Y!!

Thanks for help!

Okay.... this now has me thinking. I think I'd need to be level set on what I'm trying to achieve. My feeble understands the following...

I have a pair of full range speakers that consist of tweeter, mid range, and bass. I buy (2) subs for the system. I thought the use of a crossover was to remove the bass work from the main speaker, and apply that work to the subs. Hence the full range speaker has to do only 2 out 3 task, thus being more efficient. By bypassing the MEN220 low output section all together defeats my original thought? Once again the feeble mind at work again.... Now I have four task... tweeter, mid range, bass, and lower bass. Which would explain I could hear a difference and really couldn't judge why blended, "X", and "Y", would better over any other???? This keeps driving me back to my source material some music has the "BOOM" in it others don't. Should one be forcing music source to do more than originally intended?? Because this has feeling of doing tonal control versus letting the music source dictate. I'm soooooooooooooooo confused!
