Right, I bought 4 HAL-O III for my ref5se, and it is what they recommended.

Sounds interesting. Do I have to use 12 of them in the Ref40 pre?
There are 2 of 6550c and 10 of 6H30. Factory standard provide 10 silicon type for 6h30 only.
Nothing on 6550. What is the improvement I can expect from using Herbie's ?
Should it be RX or Hal-O model?

Just ordered 4 of the HAL O and 5 of the RX. I don't know if the HALO would fit the power 6H30 because it seemed very close to the 6550.

Might use the RX on the Ayon.
