Well it should be expected of you to go all the way in the craziness. I can't wait for some pictures. What is your favorite brands?

As for cigars, you are starting a journey with almost endless possibilities. At one level, you should probably start out on the mild side and build up from there. You then need to test different sizes. My suggestion is to find a cigar shop. Tell them what you are doing and see what they say. I think a petit corona or corona size might be a good start. Should be a ~45 minute smoke. Enjoy and do not inhale!
I need to stop at a cigar shop and buy a selection to see what I like the best.

If you don't want to invest in a humidor, just buy the smokes you will have the next days, there should be plenty of good shops in London.
I only rarely smoke but sometimes we'd like to have one out of the blue. It's to have a small stock for when we haven't planned it.

Always indoor whether in the apartment or in dedicated sections in bars.

I only mentioned it, Georges, as things are strange post-Brexit, as you know. (Oh dear, politics...)

I have a humidor on the ship and frequently get good Cubans in various ports in the Middle East.

I'd never smoke in my own house, if indoors it's got to be properly ventilated, outside when the weather is nice is best IMO.

I'm sure there are designated areas within London where one can enjoy a cigar

Default Starting a cigar collection

+1. Nobody I know of smokes cigars regularly in their living space - whether they live alone or not. Overtime, everything you own will begin to smell stale.

If you can seal off a small room and have some ventilation you can get away with smoking there IF you also then treat it with an Ozone generator after the smoke.

To use an Ozone generator while you are Still in the apartment/home, the room MUST be sealed AND you must not enter it for an hour after the generator stops working. If you can't seal the room well, run the generator when you leave. Buy one with a timer on it. O3 is pretty effective at removing smoking odors when used this way.

Ozone is dangerous but like most chemicals, can be safely used if you follow the appropriate precautions.

I loved the smell of ceegars in my face, and coming out of it too. Got a bit too much for me though, and I now vape.

I know. I don't even know if they'll let me in the next time I go on holidays

I've smoked only once indoor and it was ok smell wise. Obviously it's not something you want to do often.

Buy a box of Padron 1964 Aniversario Exclusivo Maduro Robusto. They're fantastic and reasonably priced. One of my favorites.

Having nothing to do with the fact that I live across the street from the Padron family, I agree with the above-- You cannot go wrong with any of the Padron 1964 Aniversarios. The 1929 Aniversarios are spectacular but may be a bit "too much" if you arts just an occasional smoker. By the way, although it is not Belvenie's best, I think you will find that a 1964 Aniversario with Belvenie 14 year (Caribbean Rum Cask aged)(2 fingers with one cube) is just a spectacular combination. And when you combine that combination with the right sunset...IMG_1614.JPG
