The key to having survived the asteroid impact that killed off more than 75% of all life on earth was to have been small and/or subterranean and/or aquatic.
99.9% of all species to have ever lived on earth is extinct. The article on what is the most intelligent animal on earth is almost ridiculous. Humans are the most intelligent. The other animals may be hard wired to do things humans are incapable of doing, but that doesn't make them smarter. Just having exquisite communication abilities does not make an animal extremely intelligent. Show me another animal that can do mathematics, paint a painting, write a book, build a building --don't tell me birds can build a nest or beavers can build a dam--humans can do those things MUCH better. |

Can you bring a tree down with your teeth and stop a river from flowing? Show me.

I suspect Gary is smart enough to save his teeth and use a chainsaw.

“Recent research has called into question traditional narratives about the history of our ancestors and the creatures we co-existed with. The reality seems to be messier and less straightforward than previously thought.”
