I see a Regional Playoff bracket coming. Conference winners + 2nd place in the conference go to the dance.

Urban said the same thing when he heard he had to face Saban again.

Facing Alabama is going to be tough, no doubt. Maybe we can shock the world (or at least the SEC).

I'm one of the few Gators that is still a big Urban fan. If anyone can do it he can. Or he could have esophogeal spasms.

Yes. They play in a weak conference. Alabama and Oregon seem to be the two best teams.

You're right. They dropped three
The Big Ten (12) should have declared Baylor the conference champion, and they should have scheduled better non-conference teams. They could have also won all of their games like Florida State did and then they would have a legitimate complaint. The Big Fourteen (10) is fortunate that the committee overlooked the egg-laying of OSU against an ACC team (Va. Tech) from Florida State's supposedly "weak" conference as a result of the drubbing of Wisconsin. I thought OSU was the best team in the entire country on Saturday. We'll see if they're still as good in four weeks against Alabama. The Baylor coach Briles complained of an anti-southern bias in the committee as well as a slighting of the Big Ten (12). (I assume he knows that the states of Kansas and Iowa are not in the south). However, contrary to his claim, there are two southern teams in the final four. I guess he would prefer to have four out of four. Somebody had to lose out. Why not the team who scheduled Buffalo, Northwestern State and SMU and was shellacked by 14 points by West Virginia? The FCS has a 24 team playoff, and next weekend commence their quarterfinals. I assume the same academic concerns apply to them also regarding playoffs? But four successive weeks of playoffs right up until final exams. How can the students succeed? For all the understandable concerns about academic standards and maintaining the integrity of university education, I'll be happy when the two Big conferences learn to count as well as the Pac 12 does. |

Then the same complaint about the old BCS would remain. By the way, the ACC was 4-0 against the SEC two weekends ago.
