Regardless, it's been good to see the two Mercedes drivers go at it. The year in F1 could have been a bit of a disaster without the drama.

I'm looking forward to Austin. Will be able to get a better sense on the new cars. And, hopefully it will be a good fight as well.

What a freak and horrible accident Jules Bianchi had at Suzuka. My thoughts are with
him after he crashed heavily at fast speed against the caterpillar vehicle trying to
remove Sutil's car from a previous crash a lap earlier. The Japanese GP should have
started earlier and avoid the first wave of Typhoon Phanpone.

Agree! Hard to understand how the accident could have happened when there was a yellow flag on this corner due to Sutil's accident. How unlucky and sad.

The flag turned green a couple of seconds before the crash.

So how will you feel if Rosberg wins the F1 title next week?
Is he really the best driver this year?
10 wins for Lewis
5 wins for Rosberg with one up for grabs
Wins are where its at with a minimum differential of 4 IMO....

It would be a terrible end to the 2014 F1 season if Rosberg wins the title. Hamilton has done everything right, and above all shown a maturity I didn't think he had. If Hamilton had won in Brazil it would have finished Rosberg off.

I have been a big fan of Lewis ever since he and Alonso faced off years ago in the McLaren team.

I think he's grown a lot as a driver and I really hope he wins. I have nothing but scorn for how Nico has behaved this season. I sure hope he doesn't get away with pulling off what he did during qualifying in Monaco, or doing the horrible overtaking move in the Belgian GP

But the driver of this season IMHO is Ricciardo and it's not even because I live in Australia. Give him a better car and I think everyone else should watch out.

It sure seems difficult to call this racing when only 3 drivers and 2 teams have won races this year. Has it ever been this lopsided?

I agree. Ricciardo has been a revelation. Put Vettel in an awkward place, which is probably why he is off to Ferrari.
