Okay, I will start things off...here's my system presently.
Dynaudio Contour S3.4 in maple. Two 17 cm mid/woofers and an Esotec+ tweeter. The cabinets are about 50" tall and very solldly constructed. The crossover is in a plinth between the base and cabinet for isolation. WBT 5-way binding post connectors and bass reflex port on back. Port can be plugged with a foam bung.  I live in a small townhouse so space is at a premium. For "serious" listening sessions, I slide the right speaker out to a diagonal configuration across the space where I listen in a Relax the Back store Zero Gravity chair. This photo is taken from the top of the listening chair, so you're seeing what I see. The speakers are 7 ft apart from each other and my listening position is 9 feet from the front baffle of each speaker. I angle the speakers in so that the inside edge just disappears from view from my listening position; this forms a perfect triangle with respect to my listening position. For serious listening, I also cover the glass on the coffee table with a wool throw so it's not so reflective.  I have Herbie's decoupling threaded stud gliders on the bottom of the speakers that are teflon on the bottom, so sliding the right speaker into position takes me all of 10 seconds..or maybe 11. This setup not only sounds the best, but measures the flattest. The frequency response is flattest with listening position at 9 feet as opposed to 8 ft or 10 feet from the speakers (have hard data on this). The speakers pushed back into position for watching TV. Sometimes for "big" movies on home theatre, I slide the Dyns over and connect them to the Arcam AVR. That takes me all of a minute.

I've thought about that, actually of having one made to do that, like a slip-cover comforter for the TV. Actually, though, with the right speaker in front, things measure pretty flat from about 250 Hz on out...so not sure how much help it would be. Be worthing trying, though!

Awesome setup (great album choice too!) - thx for sharing. Dynaudio makes beautiful maple speakers for sure - thats the finish i would want . Love how that color ties in with champagne finish on the CJ gear.
