Quote:
Lucky you. I imagine the strength and control of breath become harder to sustain at that age. I played a bit of blues harp in a band in my youth. I still dabble now, but I can't imagine doing it for any sustained length of time.

What Blues are you Listening To Today?
Paul Butterfield - Put It In Your Ear
Bearsville 1975 A lot of this is more rock than blues, but Butterfield will always be a blues guy to me. This isn't his best outing, but has a few good songs.

The J. Geils Band - self-titled
Atlantic 1970 I think most people think of J. Geils as more of a rock band, but their first album was a great blues album. When I was a teenager before their first album came out, we used to see them play for free on the Cambridge common, and they performed in my high school gym the spring of my junior year - they played "Can't Do My Homework" and brought the house down.

Selwyn Birchwood, a fresh, young, blues shredder out of Orlando, Florida. His newest release, out about two weeks now, was mastered and released by Alligator Records. Good stuff!
