Select where you would like them to go in the room. Some people like them in the rear of the room, some in the front, others on the sides. Let each f110 run its own DSP as a master, one at a time. Then select where you believe your mains fall off and use that as the LF selection. Use the 12 dB/octave slope which will in all likelihood mesh with your mains better than the 24dB/octave slope unless your mains go very deep and have a sharp fall-off. Using the adjustable volume control, play music with the subs up loud enough to hear them just a little on the louder side. Then as you listen, turn down the sub volume until you just barely hear them augmenting the bass for a natural sound. You're supposed to hear well balanced music, not the subs pounding out the bass. Then play with it to fine tune it until you really like it.

Of course, if you have an active crossover you can set that and your sub and mains will have exactly complementary slopes for interleaving their responses. If you have measuring equipment like a real time analyzer, use that to fine tune everything.

Most people use a method similar to the first paragraph.
