It will be really interesting to read your comments on these two outstanding products. Not having to buy the Dave is a huge benefit - little to no confirmation bias based on your lighter wallet.

I did find the Dave slightly better in some areas but not enough of a difference to make a further investment - as you said, testament to how good the DAC in the K-01X is... The demo DAVE has been returned to the store. Sometimes we take for granted just how good our existing gear is. I guess if I was in the market for a standalone DAC, it would be a DAVE.
It has been an interesting week - high expectations for the DAVE and amp that I was testing out. Both evaluations led me to appreciate my gear that much more.
