Default Luxman line phase sensor

I own a Luxman D-06 CD player. It has a line phase sensor which does not work. In the manual, it does not mention the sensor at all and I am thinking perhaps, Luxman decided to disable it. The power cable is a 2 prong as well with no ground. Although, some D-06 seems to have had 3 conductor power cable. Maybe the earlier models.

Does anyone know how the sensor is supposed to work? I've tried plugging the power in both ways and I assume the sensor is supposed to light up if the hot and neutral is reversed.

Great sounding CD player, by the way.

Late reply but hope it helps. I have a luxman dac that enables me to invert the phase. I'm guessing that's what your phase sensor means?

The button over the power socket on the back of the unit? My old preamp had this. I believe it tests the phase of the electrical from the wall. I think it lights up when in the correct phase. I can't remember but I did read this somewhere online and not from the manual. Call On A Higher Note (the importer). They'll help you out.

The line phase feature is deactivated for the U.S. Import models after some date. Due to CE regulation.
