This morning, I turned the volume on the Apetite at 10 O'clock. Wow ! These things sure rock and can go ultra loud and clean with 2 or 3 W.
Pretty amazing. They are my first pair of high eff speakers. I'm not used to this sense of power.

But I will surely try the Wadia. I like the very small footprint.
An other option would be to let the PSU upgrade out of the game by now and buy the Wadia dac.
Jerome, the upgraded power supply for your SB Touch sounds like a winner. I think for a third system the DAC in the Touch will work just fine. Probably no need to hook up an external DAC to it since, like you said, it may not make any difference.

Unfair review of Art Dudley in Stereophile.
Could not resist to post a comment on the web site.
I DO LOVE VERY MUCH the Heresy III.

Could not agree more about his review. Have lost most of whatever respect I had for Dudley and his ears. Think mine actually sound better with solid-state than they did with the MC30s driving them. At least to my ears.

I find very surprising to end up a "listening" ( BTW, he does not many any more " reviews" to keep the liberty to write such things ? ) giving poor results without trying an other amp ! Maybe that his admiration and love for Shindo is so high that he was blinded by the 99dB / 8 ohm specs and thought that if Shindo cannot drive them properly, they must be bad ? What a difference with Jeff Dorgay's review who is spot on " Perfect Balance" !
A product produced by a very young and new company, as a product produced by one of the oldest HiFi company, here for half a century or more and that will certainly be here in 50 years, does not deserve such an unfair treatment.
I have been very kind in my comment.
Mr. Dudley is probably too busy " listening" to gear in such a rigorous way that I do not expect any answer from him.
I will stop to read his articles.
