Another vote for Woo, either the WA6 SE or WA 7 with built in dac if you're using it for computer audio.

In case you have not seen, Oppo is coming up with a headphone amp and electrostat headphones: OPPO Digital Future Products

No reviews as yet given launch sometime early next year but just thought I would point you to it.

Another vote for the Bryston BHA-1, I previously tried the Benchmark and owned the Fosgate.

Actually the upcoming Oppo Headphones are a planar magnetic design and not electrosttic. This is a release with high expectations and hopefully will meet the sound quality that many are anticipating.

Buddy...thanks for the correction. It's right there on their web page. Are there any rumors as to where these units are likely to be priced? Thx

Cyril ......

Oppo has not released pricing or exact availability yet. The headphones were originally targeted for late 2013 release and the amp for sometime in 2014.
They have circulated prototypes and are apparently more concerned with releasing the right product versus getting it to market by a designated date.
There has been wild speculation over on Head Fi about pricing and some feedback from the beta testers on the prototypes.

This is one headphone that is highly anticipated based on Oppo's excellent reputation with digital players basically re-defining the segment.

Who has interest - I can give a link on Facebook, that manufacturer has account there.

My headamp is really on top of the list. Price will impress you.

More photos & details can be found in my thread.

The BHA-1 is real good, a tad on the bright side.
Still a contender, but only available used is the PS Audio GCHA.
It has a USB DAC built in, balanced and single ended inputs and the deepest darkest background I've heard.
Very detailed and neutral, very easy to listen too.
And it's only $350+- used...
