Awesome - Congrats. Please let us know the differences in the sound when you get the upgrade done.

btw - you need to update your equipment signature

Thanks Turntable. Appreciate the encouragement.

Definitely will keep you posted. Hope I don't end up eating crow. It certainly wouldn't be the first time

Yes I'm sorry. I do need to update my equipment signature. Use my iPhone almost exclusively to access the AA site and for some reason, probably by design, the equipment signature doesn't show up. Will log in through my laptop when I get a chance.

I checked, two way transportation by air alone is already 17,000$.
Check again. I paid way less to ship my evolution acoustics MM3 (600lbs per side, 6 large crates) from US to Japan, then Japan to Switzerland, then from Switzerland to Canada.
For example, US West coast to Japan did cost me USD 2153 6 years ago, using Pilot Air.
I really believe that shipping is not an issue.

Congrats for the upgrade. Let us know how it sounds. You made the right decision. I heard the Mk2 prototype, it is not a small improvement vs. mk1.
Btw, another addition to the Q7 you may want to consider is a Qsub18. I never felt the Q7 is missing any bass, but I was shocked to hear how much more sense of space the Qsub18 is able to add, and it integrates perfectly with the Q7 when crossover is set up below 30Hz.

Thank you Jazzman. Will definitely post updates.

Right now working through logistics and identifying open production dates.

Heard the Q7 mkii may be exhibited with Soulution 701/725 at the Munich show. It would be great to attend. Hope some of our European friends can report back.

Yes Jazzman you're right. Got a chance to hear the Q18 sub with the Q7 mki, Soulution 701/725 combo, Berkeley ref DAC and vovox cables. It was the most seamless integration of a sub I have ever heard. Tuneful, articulate bass fully coherent. No box resonance whatsoever.

I hope the Magico/Soulution setup in Munich will work out, I really like the show in Munich, but many times I walked away from a demo underwhelmed. Only remember one really good demo some years ago, that was with Focal Grande Utopia. (focal owner was doing the room tuning in the morning)

I have heard the Soulution (711/725) / Magico Q7 (mkI) at a show in holland, that was fantastic (very good room acoustics), really wondering where the MkII will improve on that
