If you have a chance to hear the Wilson Alexia set up properly, you will hear that sound you have not heard before.

Aries,

Would that dealer in Maryland be Gramophone?

Yes, but in Columbia, not Timonium.

I have, and yes, I did.

The mids were projected with great 'presence'. It was definitely a more life-like experience than I've heard from B&W800 series and very 'coherent', with no discernible transition between drivers.

What they've manged to do with the Alexia's is quite remarkable.

I am about to buy speakers from the new 800-series. For center I will use HTMD1 D3 and I will match that center speaker with either 802 D3 or 803 D3. My room is 6.5x3.5 meters. All walls are concrete and all the floor have a thick carpet.

What do I miss,if any, if I go for the smaller 803? Is it just bass performance or do I miss something else? Will the 802 be "too big for the room? I don't like booomy bass.

Anyone having any tips on the ideal chose?

I went through the same dilemma. besides the possible mismatch in proportions aesthetically with the smaller looking 803d3 (the htm1d3 looks bulkier), the integration of the front speakers will not be the best because the differing sizes of the midrange and woofers. If you are willing to compromise on the looks somewhat it would be the center speaker to have if movies were the priority.

I think Patrick of B&w mentioned previously that the smaller Htm2d3 is the better ideal match for the 803d3 despite the lower power handling. Wonder if this is still the case?

Are there any pics of 803d3 next to htm1d3.

If you look at the two center speakers one of the big difference is the cabinet. Htm1 has the reversed cabinet while Htm2 lacks it and are more alike 804. Looking only on the size of midrange/bass 803 match htm2 and htm1 match 802. But I wonder what else you get with the Htm1, compared to Htm2? Is the matrix system the same? 805 don't have the more advanced matrix system. Can this be the case with htm2?

In Sweden there is more than a 2000$ price difference. Is that only a reversed cabinet and one more inch on the midrange/bass?

Tomorrow I will go to my local dealer and listen to both 802D3 and 802D3. In the same room, side by side. Unfortunateley they don't have any of the new center speakers.

Has anyone listen to both the new center speakers? Opinions?

I don't think anyone has even heard these new centers. Have any dealer's gotten any of the center speakers??

I tend to value movie experience as much as 2Ch, so for me choosing the right center speaker is important as well. Would also like to know what else you get with the Htm1, compared to Htm2?
