Default Choosing speakers for my MA8000....

I figured with as helpful and knowledgeable as everyone is on this forum, I would throw this out there. I'm currently running a pair of Paradigm Prestige 95F towers with my MA8000. While it does sound very very good, I feel as if I'm not getting the most out of what my amp, and source offers with them. I purchased them when I was running a Peachtree Audio Nova300 integrated and a Bluesound Node2 as my source. While they all sounded very good together I wanted more so I upgraded to the MA8000, and a Lumin D1 streamer as the source. I mostly listen to classic rock, and the such, so I enjoy the way the Paradigms seem forward, engaging, and not boring. I would like to keep it in the $10-15K range, but we all know what usually happens. I can't wait to see some of your suggestions, so I can get out and start auditioning speakers! Thank you in advance....

Aerial Acoustics 7T, Nola KO, Vandersteen Quatro CT, Reynaud Concorde. All new at list are under if used is acceptable these get cheaper and the pool gets larger. All should be available in you area for audition.

Bryston Model T's and Dali Epicon 8's will absolutely amaze you; road trip to my place!

I have quite a few others in your price range on display too.

+1 for Wilson Sabrina's but I'm sure they are all good in that price range.

I really like the Audio Physic Codex, which is in your price range. I have yet to hear them with Mac so your mileage may vary.

I am a huge fan of any speaker from Rockport Technology. They are a bit pricier than you want to spend, but demo Atria are close to your price range. However, they do not seem to have the best synergy with McIntosh.

Be sure to get a home trial before making a final decision.

Vince

I don't know what your thoughts are about Sonus Faber, but if they are a consideration you might want to check out the AA Marketplace for Stradivari. While a bit over your stated max, they could be the last speaker you ever buy. Plus the craftsmanship and woodworking should present a high WAF. There synergy with McIntosh electronics is well known even before they were "stable mates." Ivan, Dan and many others are running similar Mc and SF combinations.

Too bad you can't charge $1.00 for each recommendation, it would pay for a new set of speakers.
