gotta be a 'Mac' fan I guess ....... I think the MT5 is an ugly duck, to each his own.

I know it may deserve an up close look, but that looks pretty nice for a $2500 turntable. Not a big fan of the McIntosh aesthetic on their tables, but looks high quality nonetheless.

I don't like the box component look of the MT5 and MT10, but this MT2 is far more sleek looking.

To match a mac system it's a winner with the glass top on the plinth, mac logo, knob and a bit of the green glow.

Is the plinth a wood finish or black? It almost looks like walnut???

Although a clearer look would be nice (it appears to be in a glass case with reflections hampering the view) I like what I see. In fact, before the MT10 ever was introduced, this is more like the look I had envisioned for a McIntosh turntable....black glass on the top, with the signature green lit logo on the top.

(I'm not even sure what the plinth is actually made of, but it looks black to me, with the lit logo).

I agree with those who say this has a nicer look than the M10 or MT5. That "component" look just didn't fly that well IMO.

I like it! I hope to see some better pictures in the near future.
