Maybe Caelin and Grant could chime in here as most of the talk so far has been about the audio side of the equation rather tha Video. That would be most appreciated. Thanks.

So, yes, it does all the things you have mentioned.

As the V14-D also lowers the noise of the power strip its plugged into, it also has improved the audio quality of my AVR.
Yes, “blacker blacks” and richer, more saturated colors. Also like wiping a window clean of haze. I’m due for a new power cord for my bluRay player and may give one of the new Venom power cords a try there.

Not the Venoms, but I've been using the Alpha NR cables on my plasma TV, pre/pro, and DVD player and there is a noticeable improvement in picture quality from all sources. And, I'm getting much better sound out of my pre-pro.
Good to hear that a few others find video performance enhanced too. I’ve personally found Shunyata power cords, Sigma and Alpha as well as other brands to enhance the video performance in my AV system and was curious as to why there is so little talk on aftermarket power cords on video improvement. Perhaps Shunyata should give a little more emphasis on video in their marketing strategy?

The emphasis for video applications is on the product description page for the Venom V14 Digital power cord:

"The Venom V14 Digital is the PERFECT power cord for use with servers, transports, computers, routers, up-samplers, projectors, flat screens, digital converters, disk arrays or any device that processes digital or video signals. The broad-band, multi-stage filtration built into the Venom V14 Digital dramatically eliminates noise without the use of an expensive power conditioner.

The result is a significant increase in the resolution of audio and video signals!"

Thanks. I’ll check this out. Just might be the ticket for a few of my components

Has anyone tried both the NR V10 and the Delta NR?

Just curious as to how they sound and cost/benefit. Thanks.

Not directly and on the same component. I've used the NR-V10 and on my power amp, and it was, in a word, amazing. The NR-V10 took my big Dyns to levels of performance on complex, dynamic, orchestral content that I simply had not heard before.

I'll leave it to Caelin to weigh in to provide specifics, but knowing Shunyata's design philosophy reasonably well, my hypothesis is the level of noise suppression provided by the NR filter would be pretty comparable between the two, but the Delta would provide even better dynamics, scale and "force" on very dynamic and complex content because of the higher level of DTCD it could deliver.

Just a side-bar: I think that Shunyata Research has hit a new "high point" in its overall product portfolio's level of functionality and quality attributes with the development of the core competencies that are the foundation for the new NR-V10/V12 power cords, and the new Denali V2 series, as well as the new Shunyata Ethernet and USB digital cables.

Based on my background in technical product development, its logical to assume we will see these "breakthrough" core competencies scale across the portfolio into products that are "further up" the portfolio (e.g. Delta) and "downstream", e.g. the new Venom V-14 Digital power cords, which are superb for powering music servers, Ethernet routers/switches, streamers & network bridges, and their respective power supplies.

Thank you for responding.

From the literature, I could not discern whether the Delta NR incorporated the techniques in the NR V10/12, etc., plus some on board CCI, different connectors, etc.; OR,

Whether the NR V10/12, etc. incorporated newer techniques not in the current (sorry) Delta NR.

Yeah, I can't speak to that at all as I don't know anything about the specifics of the NR filters for the various product classes (Venom, Delta, Alpha, etc.) in any way.

All I can say is the new line of Venom NR-class of power cords are amazing performers across the range from NR-V10 to V-12 and Venom V-14 Digital, and a VERY impressive value for money. I would say their noise suppression benefits are more readily apparent on an older power distributor, e.g. a Triton V1, Shunyata PS8, and other non-Shunyata power distributors, which have less NR functionality than a Denali V2, but even on a Denali V2, the noise suppression functionality is quite notable over an older power cord, which in my case were Shunyata Black Mamba CXs and HC/CX for sources and power amps, respectively. They are also more transparent and more "dynamic" with respect to their ability for dynamic transient current delivery. The Black Mambas, which were no slouch in their time, sound less quiet and "darker" and more veiled by comparison.

I certainly second the "thumbs up" for the Venom NRs.

I run a 1200AS Class D amp directly to the wall and wanted a noise filtering PC. The NR V10 certainly does the job. Every time I listen I am amazed at the information pouring forth.
