Don't laugh but when I decided to acquire a better 2 channel set up I started out in a Bose outlet near me listening to a pair of 901's. Fortunately it was my wife who said, you will never be happy with these. I then left and bought the B&W 804s which were 4 times as expensive as the Bose but still 1/2 the price of my present SF speakers new. Like many in this hobby I have continued to upgrade and the year that I have been into this has been fun from building a new room to getting better audio gear. State of mind allows you to rationalize almost anything.

I will tell you a funny story about this watch. I go into Hamilton Jewlers in Princeton for a watch show and see this watch 6 months before it is released and leave a deposit to order one. I forget about it as mine does not come in for 8 months when I get the call that its in. I go and pick it up with my wife and she says.." Oh my g-d, if I asked a little boy to pick out a watch that is the one he would pick out... with all the beautiful watches in this store that is what you buy ? Guys like Panerai better than women. It was not as popular then as it is now.

David.......That is a funny story. Women are just wired different than men. You would have probably said the same thing, had you been with the Wicked Witch of the West when she purchased the Ruby Slippers.
