question: where do you guys buy your Naim gear? Is there an online store? I checked my place and I have 1 dealer-- but the dealers website has no 'stock' XS.
I get new Naim gear at my dealer. I get used Naim gear at Audiogon. There is a NIB Nait XS for sale on Audiogon now, for less than $2K.

FWIW: I home auditioned a Nait XS against a Moon 33i and a T+A Powerplant. It sounded better and more musical than either of them, even though they cost considerably more.

macmd, welcome! A handful of members here speak very highly of the Dyn and Naim pairing. I bet they chime in shortly. Good luck!

I don't think you can go wrong with that combination. The Uniti2 has plenty of current and power to drive the C1s and -- as mentioned already -- the Naim/Dyn combination works extremely well. The 70WPC at 8 ohms you get with the Uniti2 will be more like 110 WPC @ 4 ohms.

Thanks guys. I went to see the local dynaudio dealer today. He suggested that if im going to get the naim uniti 2 i should get a power amp to properly maximize the sound quality of the c1. His suggestion was a plinius power amp. By the way, the room is only 40 sq meters

I think you should try the Uniti2 with the C1 first, but if you get an amp for the Uniti2, consider getting a Naim amp, like the NAP200 or NAP250 for better synergy. I use a NAP250 with my Contour S3.4s. 40 sq. m. is a pretty good size though...much bigger than my room.

If you don't need the CD transport of the Uniti2 the SuperUniti is something to consider. It has more power than the Uniti2.

Doing away with the cd transport and getting the superuniti is what the naim local dealer suggested. However, i need the cd tray to play my remastered cds . I appreciate your suggestions. I will keep that in mind.

Hi guys,

I'm looking at the XS to power my 160's...perhaps with flatcap (demo deal) or the new xs2. I know they are fresh, has anyone heard the xs2 yet...
