V10 or V14

For a McIntosh MCT500 transport, I have either a V10 or V14 I can use; it will plug into a Denali 6000/s v2. Which is the better choice?

Hi Rob,
If you are using the MCT500 solely as a transport, then the Venom V14D is perfect for this. You can use the Venom NR-V10 on your DAC or an amplification component.

Thanks. Yep, that's how I'm using it. I currently am using the v14, non-d, and a 14d on my endpoint. So, you think it would do better with the filter network on the D version?

Sorry, Rob, do I think what would do better with the NR filter network on the D version? The transport or the endpoint?

The v14d is staying in the endpoint (because of the end that's all it will fit anyway).

So yes, the transport. I think you're saying it will perform better with the D version, than with a regular v14 (which it has now), or even better than the v10 because the filter network in the D version is better suited to the type of noise a transport would encounter; correct?

I think a regular Venom 14 would be fine for the transport if plugged into Denali, and yes, I think the V14D is best-suited for use with the endpoint. I would use the NR-V10 on an amplification component or DAC.
