Hi Tim, no, I didn't buy the GFX50S. While I loved the camera, I think where it really shines is with respect to making larger prints (larger than 17 X 22" or even 20 X 24"). I can't and don't print that large, and most folks don't buy and hang prints that large (the largest average-sized photo print that most folks put up is 11 X 14"), I didn't feel a need to purchase one. It's still available for renting when I need one, and that's a more affordable way for me to go right now. No point in putting close to $10K into gear that is going to sit in the unused in the closet most of the time. If I was running a pro photography business doing portrait, studio, architectural or product work, I'd very like get one.

Fantastic camera, though.

Thanks, Karl. I was a scientist professionally, but just retired last December 20. I've done photography for a long time but have not earned my living doing photography professionally. I like to think that I'm able to do it at a professional level at this point in time, at least for some types of photography. I do have professional photojournalist credentials for shooting motorsports, and have done so for a long time for professional usage, e.g, newspapers, magazines and web media, but I also am always working to get better, or more accurately, *see* better.
