Big congrats on the Kiseki PurpleHeart, by all reports it's an exceptional performer! I have one in my sights if/when I decide to upgrade from my Ortofon Cadenza Bronze.

Whenever I do something stupid, I am relentless in chastising myself. But, I think I forgive myself a lot easier than I would my brother-in-law for instance.

Congrats on the new cartridge (and not hating your brother-in-law)!

This sounds like a very exciting way to have an excuse to replace some gear! May need to try that with my mrs. [emoji6]

Congrats on getting your TT back in action and the new cartridge Steve. How would you describe the sound of Kiseki Purple Heart?

I just got it playing last night so I haven’t listened to it a lot yet, but...... first impression is very extended open top end yet smooth as silk. This evening I will be playing with VTA to get a better balance between top and bottom end response. First thoughts are it’s a major upgrade from what I had but it should be at a 2 grand high retail price.

Never had the pleasure of auditioning the Kiseki but do recall being smitten with a Koetsu Rosewood in that same price bracket. That cartridge made some serious music.. buttery smooth, a bit on the lush and romantic side but very enjoyable. I suspect the Kiseki is probably somewhere in that category as well.
