We enjoy the Ka'anapali Beach area. When we started going to Maui we would always stay on hotel row but the last three times booked a great condo just a little north of the Sheraton. Still easy walking distance to the restaurants. All of that is just a short drive to Lahaina for nice dining and browsing at night.

We usually split our time in Hawaii spending a week on Maui, a week on the Big Island and them a couple of nights on Oahu either on the in or outbound leg.

Default Maui, my favorite island to visit.

The sacred pools during a sudden downpour!

Enjoy your trip, it’s a beautiful area. We just came back from two weeks on Hawaii Island (“Big Island”) and the weather was perfect.

Fleetwood's on Front Street in Lahaina. Maybe Mick Fleetwood will jam while you're there. During my wife's visit 3yr ago he not only jammed but joined them for drinks between sets. He remarked that it was nice to chat with folks his age. And, the food was excellent.

+1 on Fleetwoods, plus the dinner and sunset up stairs are fabulous

Love the “Big Island”as well.
Wife and I came close to acquiring an exceptional ocean front townhome a few years ago. However, the pet policy combined with exhorbant monthly common fees put an end to our plans. Plus, not sure if we want to retire on an island.

Lovely place to be. tourist, though.

Well my wife and I ended up booking our trip last March and we are getting ready to make the trip. We ended up renting a VRBO condo in Kaanapali Shores right on the ocean (sunset view).

Already reserved our trip for the Haleakala sunrise and a day trip to Oahu to visit the Pearl Harbor memorial and Waikiki Beach.

We'll hit up Costco when we land and get snacks and liquor for the stay.

Any last minute tips are greatly appreciated!

If you’re into record shopping when you travel, there’s an interesting little shop in Wailuku called Request Music. Also driving the road to Hana is a must.

Mamas is thee best, make your reservations depending on time of year and bring your wallet. Also, you can stay next door as well, never have but it’s right there and looks fun enough to stay
