Hopefully I will get the center asap. I am still doubting between the HTM1D3 and 2D3
Thanks

I really like my center, the voices sounding amazing, lifelike and match my speakers perfectly.

Either way, tough to go wrong.

The 805D3 and 804D3 are imho the best looking design out of the new D3 series. I'm not a fan at all of the 803D3, 802D3, or 800D3. I like the 802D2 & 800D2 design much better. But damn the 804D3's are sexy!

Any opinions on the "voicing" of the 804D3 compared to D2 concerning bass response ?

From the technical sheets, the on-axis -3db freq response for D3 is 24Hz, D2 was 38Hz.

I "think" I read somewhere this had more to do with a change in the measurement approach vs an actual speaker change.

Yes. The 803D3 is a better speaker, more open, better midrange, better bass response.

I'm fairly new here, but have heard them both a lot, and the d3 sounds a lot more neutral to me. Less boomy. but when the music contains a lot of bass, the d3's will provide you with more than enough! I would not mind looking at the measurements. There are a lot of years between the measurements from both lines. So good chance they changed the way they measure.
