Yes, I am sure Ivan. In my smallish room it may actually work out that it is only 30w into 8 ohms but will need to think about proper pair of speakers.

Not sure if you are still in Bucks County, but if you are, I would be more than happy to let you borrow it to see how it sounds at your house. I travel a decent amount for work, so no big deal if you want to try it for a week or two.

PM me if you are interested.

Steve, thank you for the generous offer! I will do some more research as I still need a pair of speaker first to even try it! If things work out, perhaps your offer would be very beneficial!

Makes sense Dan.

Thought long & hard about the F-05 when deciding on a new integrated. But, the smaller form-factor of the E-270 won the day for me. Of the Esoteric integrated amps the F-05 is the definite winner to my eyes. Like the E-270, has all those sexy exposed knobs & buttons.

I currently own a Primaluna Premium Dialogue HP, which sounds great, but I worry about tube reliability. The F-05 does look very appealing. Has anyone compared it to a tube amp? If so, how much of that "tube magic" would I give up for better reliability?

I'm interested in their integrated amps too, mainly the F05. My dealer is expecting one to arrive soon. Can't wait to hear it!!!!!

Let us know what you think once you've auditioned.

Toccata, I have owned a PrimaLuna DiaLouge Premium for over 4 years. It has been rock solid with no issues. Not sure if you have encountered any issues with the PL. It’s doubtful you will. Other than replacing tubes (which can be fun), that is all you should be looking at.

I have also owned the F-05. It’s a great, full featured integrated that is reasonably priced. It does not sound “tube like” but for a SS integrated, it is very dynamic and presents a sound signature that is very slightly to the warm side of neutral. It’s built like a tank and the packaging is amongst the best in the industry.
