There are actually over 11,000 SACD titles that have been issued to date. 714 new SACD titles were issued in 2016 alone.

Audioraven.......Thank you. I thought my information was a bit dated.

Didn't mean to side track the MQA discussion.

Not a complete list, but as close as you are likely to find.

Yadda, yadda. I got the press release and I hope so. So far, I am not encouraged with what I see although, admittedly, my interested are narrow. They do not include reissues and are mostly restricted to classical.

thanks for the correction J. Needing the clarification

This accumulative album supportability mostly amounts to much older recordings. Personally my tastes our more forward or present (new releases in my taste of music interests) and alternative. Obviously, not to devaluate yours or others in anyway. So MQA, as l believe, can deliver new releases towards my niche ,more appropriately day and date.

More yadda, yadda to follow Kal.....kidding aside. More about Merlin/MQA's supportive announcements today....

Merlin acts collectively on behalf of thousands of independent record labels and distributors from more than 50 countries, allowing them effective access to new and emerging digital revenue streams. On their behalf, Merlin has agreed global deals with the world’s most important new-generation digital music services, including Deezer, Google Play, KKBOX, Pandora, Soundcloud, Spotify, VEVO and Youtube.

With mp3 being an outcast officially today. Its creators have abandoned licenses to the format, signing its death sentence, finally ....good riddance!

MQA has the possibilities of overshadowing the mainstream audio setbacks that have occurred since its inception, taking hi rez to a new level.

How can any one audiophile be other than positive, towards the gains attributed by MQA towards enhancing audio qualities MAINSTREAM.

Its use as a copy-protection mechanism, perhaps? Or that it makes DSP exceedingly difficult? Or that its superiority as to fidelity is still in question?

In my view, obviously, NONE WHATSOEVER. A new mainstream hi resolution codec for the masses. Industry (music labels) wide, supportive. With many more audio equipment developers, as well other music labels, should be on the band wagon sooner or later.

Still requiring much more time, and patience , for MQA's unfolding, (no pun intended ) from the supportive music industry, being their vast library of catalog titles to materialize, for their eventual release.

Also....believing that those MQA supportive labels with eventual download releases, will ALSO materialize as 24 bit PCM too. Both formats coexisting. Giving us choices.

KUDOS to BOB STUART and MQA!
