Did you ever get your Dectet fixed? Hopefully so.

Bob, thanks for asking. I got it back two to three weeks ago and smooth sailing so far. I'm viewing the world through rose-colored glasses today and I'm considering it fixed!

Joe.......Good to hear your Dectet is performing correctly. Mine has been in service now for 3 months without any issues. It is working perfectly. I still believe the PS Audio Dectet represents a decent value, is a well made product, and provides improvement in power delivery to my preamp and source components.

I bought 2 of these several months ago. I can speak to their sensitivity. We had a very cold day a while ago and I decided to turn on a space heater in my office. Ran the heater for a couple of hours then shut it off. As I was leaving the house I noticed the red standby lights on my Mc amps had gone out. Looked at the PS unit and it was flashing. Sure enough it had detected the change in current and had shut down. I simply pressed the blue flashing light and it was back up and running. Can't say if sound quality is improved very much but I can say they will certainly help to protect your expensive equipment. Good, reasonably priced product.

I think you may still have a problem. It's my understanding that the Dectet is designed to restart after it determines that the power line malady has cleared. Someone please set me straight if I've got it wrong.

Dan, I agree with your assessment regarding the build quality and the design of the unit. The "Power Port" receptacles are almost worth the price of admission by themselves!

Joe.......The Dectet owner's manual says, "Once the power has returned to its proper range of voltage, the Power Center will wait a few seconds and then reconnect the equipment." The owner's manual goes on to say, "A slow blinking power button means there is an over or under voltage situation and the unit has shut down. This occurs when greater than 20% of the rated voltage is exceeded or if the voltage is below 25% of the rating. The Power Center should automatically turn back on when the voltage on the line has returned to normal. If it does not, simply press the logo power button to reactivate the Power Center."

It seems that in some cases power is not always restored automatically, but pressing the logo power button reactivates the Dectet.

Thanks for the great review Dan! I just purchased one myself today. Looking forward to its arrival and subsequent installation/use.
