Congratulations on a job incredibly well done.

I once lived in Clearwater, Florida and witnessed U.S. home construct a new home for some lucky buyers in less than 24 hours, start to finish. Contrast that (low) quality build time against the extraordinary high quality time, effort, workmanship, and love that has gone into building your two year room.

Jullian, thanks so much for the kind words. I had a number of friends visit since completion and when they ask about the construction they are usually very surprised at the amount of time and engineering that went into building it and the design considerations.

The biggest things I was looking forward to during the design and build were the big sounds from action movies or a enveloping sound field from a movie that makes a lot of use of surround and rear channels, however, I've been very surprised that the thing I most enjoy about the theater are the clear details in dialog and effects. I attribute that to 1) the soundproofing to lower the noise floor and allow the lower level details to present themselves and 2) the room acoustics that eliminate the audio "glare".
