CD9 Hour Meter?
There's no reference in the manual to a tube hour meter on the Ref CD9; do you have to just keep track in a notebook or do you just not worry about it until you start hearing distortion or otherwise hear a tube go bad?
Also, should the tubes in a CD9 should be swapped out every 3000 hours or so just like those in a Ref 5 SE or Ref 2 Phono? The manual seems to be silent on that as well. |

Is there an hours button on the remote? I have a CD7 which does not have an hours meter. I thought though starting with the CD8 they did.
The power tube, I believe it is a 6550 in the CD9 should be replaced every 2000 - 2500hours. The 6h30 tubes should last twice that long. I change the 6h30 tubes every other time I replace my power tube. |
