My youngest girl got this for me for Christmas, a very nice smooth and I think it is from the Buffalo Trace family is the Stagg JR. Very high Proof like Bookers, but amazingly smooth and very full flavored.

A lot going on, definitely nice!

For Christmas my son gifted me a bottle of Eagle Rare (10 years).
Superb in every way. I prefer this to Basil Hayden.
Will enjoy a wee nip this afternoon while contemplating Miles on the stereo.
Cheers.

I still have Blantons, Buffalo Trace, Stag Jr., 4 roses, Bulleit 10 year, Basil Hayden, Makers Mark, Knob Creek, 2 bottle Bookers, Woodford reserve, and some Jefferson too.

Of course others like Jack D., Makers, Pendleton etc for the kids and others that don't appreciate the good stuff Many blends and non Bourbon's...

(a small amount like 4 ozs left ) of Pappy Van Winkle
(a small amount like 3 ozs left ) of Old Rip Van Winkle
1792 is all gone

OH and the original release of Wyoming Whiskey is rough to say the least, but the last years reserve is very nice. I have 2 bottles of each. Single barrel is nice, I have sampled the others too, very good stuff especially for the money. I forgot who, but the main man they brought in to be a distiller is a legend in the field. Forgot where from but seems he is related to someone at 4 Roses?

PS a relative of the 4 Roses family lives in Meeteetsee WY just out side of Cody, we had a rare treat 3 years ago with a very very small run of 4 Roses that I think was only from one cask at that was all...

you guys have got me re-thinking bourbon (corn whiskey). Never really acquired a taste for it years ago, need to give it a second chance.

Default A couple of bourbon recommendations...

I just heard about Weller’s, a cousin of Pappy. Anyone have any experience with Weller’s?

I am going to look for it.
