ARC on its side?
Is there any reason you couldn't use an ARC preamp or Ref DAC while
its resting on its side? I have limited cabinet space and was considering this option. (assuming proper ventilation, etc) |

Definitely should contact arc. I wouldn't do it, personally.

i wouldn't either. especially ref 10.
probably would be better to use triton and typhon with front faceplate down on stillpoints. that way you have inlets facing up, much easier in confined space with bulky power cords. may scratch front faceplate though... alternatively, find a new room for your system, or get rid of bulky cabinets and replace with proper racks which may take up less floor space. Since heat rises, I would image tubes and other components at the top position would be subjected to more heat. This will eventually lead to shorter life.

There should always be sufficient airspace around any tube equipment, couple of cm under and sides and minimum 10 cm above the unit. |
