I'm a Business Manager mainly. Used to be in automobile marketing, and publishing, and was an officer in the armed forces. Part-time recording engineer, musician, and singer on the sides. I'm releasing a CD in the coming months. Am involved in three bands with different band mates; original music (adult contemporary pop-rock), cover band that plays regularly in pubs (top 40's), and a mixed band focused on instrumentals (jazz, rock and fusion). Have an BSc honors degree in marketing. Loves listening to music, loves composing, writing music, most of them are of the pop to rock nature. Play the guitar (electric, steel acoustic, nylon acoustic), bass, piano, saxophone. Enjoys squash, soccer, and golf! Appreciates Jazz, Classical, Rock, Blues, Bluegrass, Movie Sound Tracks. Loves movies - I watch one every other night with the wife-to-be. I have a mad collection of DVDs, and Blu-Rays. Loves reproduced music by Theta Digital, Focal Loudspeakers and ESPECIALLY McIntosh Labs Inc. Loves the wife, cause she enjoys my movie and music with me, and always there for me after a long and hard day at work. Loves McIntosh. Am open to digital music of respectable quality. I have a collection of CDs, and a small but growing collection of Vinyl. Am very clear about the difference between the art, and science of music. Believes that "audiophiles" take on three schools of thought: 1. Hi-Fidelity, 2. Interpretation of recorded music presented as "live" music. 3. Music according to personal preference. Bedroom System: MX118, MC7100, XR16, integrated with Marantz SR7005. Sources are Kaleidescape, Sony Blu-Ray, Xbox360 with Kinect, Nintendo Wii, Apple TV (2nd Gen) and Cable TV. Controlled with universal remote - tried Harmony 1000, Pronto 9600, and Handheld universal remote, integrated with lights. Using B&W Centre and Surrounds, Rear surrounds are custom-made by me. 15" Subwoofer active. Home Theatre System: Kaleidescape, MX150, MC402, MC205, XR200, Sonance Cinema LCR2 and Sur1 for Centre and Surround. Room perfected for balanced tonality. Tuner, Cable TV (HD), Optical screen 110", and Blackwing 3-chip LCoS Projector in a projector lift. Controlled with a Pronto 9600, and currently programming one for an iPad. 2x 12" Subwoofer Active. Dreams of owning XRT2K - best speaker engineered in my opinion. Maybe a C48 or C50 add-on with my current sets. Dreams of being able to easily afford a MC601 or MC501 mono and C50 to take with me to my gigs and perform with them on my guitar (like the Grateful Dead), and share to beauty of McIntosh! Dream of doing my Masters and PhD in the coming years, however don't enjoy responsibility of academics. Drives a Mercedes Benz E200 (Dreams of a E200 Cabriolet), owns a Sheraton Archtop guitar, a LesPaul Black Beauty, and a Fender Stratocaster, Takamine 12-string and Takamine Classical guitar, Ovation Acoustic guitar, Taylor Acoustic guitar.
