10K miles a year is pretty easy on a sport touring bike. Think Yamaha FJR, BMW R1200RT. These are "old man" sport bikes; upright seating, heated grips, cruise control, etc. I can ride further in one day than I am comfortable driving.

I've done countless 500+ mile days, with my longest about 1050.

For some fun reading, check out the Iron Butt Rally website. It's held every two years and the riders typically cover 10k-12k miles in 10 days.

Younger people seem to be more interested in experiences then material possessions ie homes, cars, hi end anything. Many young people are saddled with college debt. Hi end audio is dying, no doubt about it. My kids have no interest and neither do there friends. A stereo is just not hi tech. enough for them. Computers, video games are more interesting to them and they can play with friends over the internet. Sitting in a room by yourself listening to music is for old guys like many of us here

Fortunately there are enough people who can afford hi end audio here on this forum.

I agree with the above but am a bit more optimistic. In our case, all the kids (millenials thru Gen Z's) are interested in the experience and are regular concert goers - small venue to stadium events. The youngest is our vinyl enthusiast, as are her friends. The coolest guys and the heroes in their shows play music on turntables.
Someday they may appreciate authentic sound reproduction at home, but I sense a generational lag here.
