Default "S" Turns

This explains why tail draggers were always taught to make “S” turns while in a taxi operation and why it is important to do so.

Ah, this actually resulted in the death of the guy in the back seat. A very, very sad episode that was very preventable, since it was at a rather large, well known air show where there should have been folks "walking" that big war bird down the taxiway. Horrible tragedy.

Totally incumbent upon the pilot to insure the safety of others near his aircraft. This was senseless, IMHO.

That taxiway is a little narrow for s turns in this big plane. Not good.

Looks like a tragic case of negligence.
