Avantgarde XA Series Pre/Power

Read about this pair of NEW creations by Avantgarde Acoustics in their website. Seems interesting. Local dealer will be bringing in the pair and I am certainly going to audition this with the same brand of speakers - Model Duo Grosso G2 (Dual 12 Inch powered subs).

Understand the XA amplifiers can come with an array of fascia, even veneered ones!

Apart from the Meridian DSP8k SL, I am very much impressed by these vastly improved model (over their older Duo's).

Yes, in fact Jerome, I have heard the Duo Grosso G2's at the local dealer's place who had ALWAYS used low powered SET amps to play. Very very intoxicating.

Air Tight ATE-2001 Reference Pre with matching Air Tight ATM211 Mono Amplifiers, Raven Black Knight TT and Helios Omega Ruby tonearm mounted with Air Tight's PC1 cartridge. They also use their own house brand CD transport and DAC from Harmonix (Reimyo CDT777 & DAC999EX). All cabling and power distributor by Shunyata. If I have NOT gone into Meridian, this might have been my setup!

Anyway, I have always been a strong advocate of ONE BRAND, if possible from source thru speakers as I belief voicing is that much more important and done right from the the start at Manufacture. Its the "variables" that contributed to use buying "this and changing to that". No end at spending tons of dollars and still never hit audio nirvana .....

Still, I have one Leben ....
