Default A litttle taste for now

After what seems like eternity the O'96s have arrived. Picked them up this afternoon and hauled them upstairs myself ( these apes are heavy but I'm a big boy). Hopefully I have time to unpack them today. Unfortunatly I have some business paperwork to do first.
More to come

You just need the right tools to move apes.

Looking forward to some pictures of the Devore's unboxed and of course your listening impressions!
John designs and builds some unique and fantastic sounding speakers.

Well, got them monkeys out of their cage last night and spun a few tunes.
They are an absolutely beautiful speaker! The finish is perfect and I love the veneer flitches that John allowed me to choose from a few choices. I feel their size is perfect for my room, they do not consume the space like my LaScalas did.
First impressions are that they are quite dynamic but in a smooth and more subtle way than the Klipsch were. Very smooth through the midrange with a real bottom kick. The bass is a bit bloated when using vinyl but I will not make any real judgements until I get some time on them and once they have a few hrs. I will play with the positioning. I am hearing all the detail in the music as before with the Klipsch but now it sounds much more musical!
They have all the great attributes of my Devore Super 8's but with more depth, fullness, and larger soundstage. A huge step forward for my system and I couldn't be happier. I hopw my wife and kids will forgive me for wanting to spend all my time upstairs.
Here are a few more pics.

Franklin and Freestone, thank you for the compliments.
A little cool sidenote. When I renovated the room, I found the same speaker cloth as my Klipsch from Bob Crites and I used it for the speaker covers on the TV and for the cabinet door centre panels. The Devore 0'96s have the exact same cloth for their grill covers. Sometimes, things just work out!
