Arrival, Uncrating & Set-up of Vintage Tubes Wilson Audios' Alexia Speakers

Thanks everyone -- 51 years in the making and I have arrived at my nirvana. I'm DONE with an occasional tweak here or there such as power distribution (ordered a MAINZ8 Power Distributor & Ceramic power cable).

I'm embarrassed at the appearance of the room -- tape on the floor, McIntosh towel hanging by a thread, a yellow sticky on the back wall, etc. Looks like Linus was here -- whereas I have a friend in Seattle who received his gorgeous titanium V1's and it looks like Martha Stewart staged his gear (I'll overlook the fact she forgot the tray on the ottoman).

Guess that's what I get when I'm the worker bee and supervisor too. Multitasker of tasks with no one to pass blame.

P.S, for Mark -- the DB/Chicago concert was awesome and probably the best night this time of year in the south -- 74 degrees, slight breeze, no rain, no humidity to speak of. DB were great -- but Chicago was the ticket -- James Pankow was unbelievable -- recent inductee to songwriters hall of fame. He blew it away IMO. It was a pleasure to see most of the original guys .... Peter Cetera, Robert Lamm -- also inductees where stupendous too. Lee Loughnane and Jeff Coffey were great too. Bought a 50 years tee shirt. Closed out with 25 or 6 to 4 -- which was banned in Singapore for years -- then reinstated (thought there was a drug correlation) brought the house down.

Congrats Bob, I doubt you are done, I'm not going to say that, because I have learned that lesson.

But congrats on finding such musical bliss. I know exactly how you feel.

Just moved both speakers another 1/2 inch and pushed the right speaker back an inch and a half. Tedious but suspect, like previous setups, will take some time before their final resting place is set. Sure is nice they're on wheels.

I've got to say I'm done...that's the 'angel' on my right shoulder speaking who has a back channel to the wife. The left 'devil' is on a smoke break.

Nice system - moving the racks from in between the speakers will be the biggest improvement you can make. All sorts of reflection created off rack between the speakers. If possible, move them to the side or rear of the room, put amps on the floor near speakers and get long interconnects.
