Why dealers are not able to learn what Bill is doing ? I understand that it may take years of experience and a very good ear but at this level of price, not only for SF but for all high end brands, every customer should get a perfect set up.
My Arc dealer in Paris is also a Wilson dealer and he is completely unable to set up Wilson speakers.

Jerome, there are thousands of talented painters and musicians out there but there was only one Pablo Picasso... Only one Georges Bizet... There is only one, the only, legendary Bill Peugh.

Hi Jerome,
My dealer brings my equipment to my home, they also set up my Cremona's, & set up room perfect and checked all setting. And i mean spent some time placing the cremona's. All for no charge. Isn't that the norm? Obviously I'd trust and of preferred Bill setting up my Cremona's.

I guess I may need to forgive Magnolia HIFi for a warranty issue that was not handled well recently. It appears they may be giving better customer service than many stores.

First of all, I'd like to thank David for the opportunity to be a fly on the wall and a pig at his table. We've become pretty good friends as a result of this forum, and this was yet another opportunity that never would have presented itself were it not for AA. He is a warm and welcoming host, indeed!

It was also good to see Bill, again, and it was fascinating to watch him apply his craft. There were times when Bill was moving speakers and asking us our perceptions...and I thought, "Uh, oh...you don't want to rely on my ears, do you?" At other times, I'd ask what he was listening for because I wanted to learn. It was very enlightening, entertaining, and flat-out fun. On the downside, I've now had this same song drumming through my head for darned near five days!!

I can't wait to get my system put back together to play with speaker placement, myself. Not that I'll achieve Bill's results, but at least I'll have some use for that song that's in my head...

Hi, Jerome...David can clarify, but they probably were set up by his dealer, initially. Then they got moved for his foray into 3D audio...then he and I played with them () after that experiment, and, now, he got the master treatment...

Everything is better. The bass, the mids, the illusion of the sound stage height, width and depth. It is one thing to notice this in a theater with multiple speakers and then again to have a taste of this in 2 channel. My room still has many imperfections and is open to another room with slate floors which has slap echo in there but luckily it is not noticeable from the listening chair.

I also learned from Bill that my home theater would benefit from swapping my front speakers. Right now I have ribbon tweeters toward the side walls which makes things sound too wide. Since I was away the last few days I have not had a chance to make the switch yet
