How would you use 1TB of storage on a laptop?
I just installed a second hard drive in new my 13" MacBook Pro. Here thread here. 13" MBP with OptiBay installed (2 hard drives) pictures. - Mac Forums
With almost 1TB of onboard storage I plan to put all my movies and music on it. Here's how I plan to use it. Use Handbrake to convert all my DVDs to iPhone/iPod Touch format and load them all on the MBP. It should ba about 1.5gb per movie. This will allow me to freely add movies to my iPod Touch very quickly as I please. Rip all my CDs to 256kb (iTunes Plus) and manage in iTunes. This will allow me to have all my music on my 160gb iPod Classic. This will allow me to have lots of entertainment options for the road. How would you use 1TB on your laptop?

I have all of my listenable music on one MacBook Pro that I sync with my iPod Touch for travel. I don't do video other than a few music video I grab off of Youtube using Tubesock.
I sync my iPhone to the MacBook Air I keep near me in the 2-channel room for posting here on AA. I only keep about 70 CD's on my iPhone since I seldom use it for music. I prefer to have my music on a server rather than a Laptop. I do not like to leave my computers running when I am away from them. Jim

I thinking having all my CDs & DVDs on the laptop should be good for plane/car trips. No more trying to decide which movie/albums to sync.
May be bit excessive but I like excessive. LOL

I rip all my music & movies from original discs so I don't worry about virus. I am also careful about what I download. I don't even run AV on my Windoows PC. On the Mac, I don't run as Admin. It's a good rule for all users.
