Thanks for all the great info guys, I'll keep a lookout for the albums you've suggested and give it a try, open to any experience, suggestions etc as sound and music is so "subjective" ,
Have an unusual room shape here but I think it's a plus rather than problem,
Standard 8' high ceiling but a large U shape 30' wide and 28' deep with the base of the U 10' wide and 16' from the rear wall .... Speakers use that as their "back" wall so the normal rules of a flat wall behind the speakers doesn't apply....
First part of that setup routine looks like it's optimising room nodes, standing waves etc which is a great way to start but I think I'm pretty good with that part already, with a history of speaker building the positions have been well plotted with an RTA and calibrated mic (plus lots of listening of course) so I know where all the dips and peaks are ..... But I'll give the whole routine a try to see how good it was ...
Originally heard the Cremona's at a Hifi show but at that stage I was still building my own, one or two pretty good ones too (of course, I built them right ?) and the next "project" was to have used all Scan Speak drivers, but after adding up their cost plus quality crossover components they were getting rather expensive and around that time the local dealer was doing a special on the Cremona M's as the new Olympia model was coming, looked at the difference, and as well as the fact that they were built and ready to go they also used Scan Speak drivers ...... Custom specified ones too ! And it was a no brainier ....
Next week I had the Cremona's and haven't regretted every last dollar ...
