Sounds good, Tony. The reason I brought up the EVPs now is that there is 1-time/year Thansgiving sale on them; 4 for the price of 3. And there is a 30-day return policy if you don't like them...

That reminds me, I have to order mine for my REL; I got distracted by the LampizatOr. Doh!

Tony, how is that Carbon Special working out in your system?

Here is John Hunter with Uncle Kevin discussing the Carbon Special design.

It’s working out very well, thanks Serge. Yes, I’ve been through all the REL videos at various times - between stereo and HT setups, this is my 6th REL in the last 10 years.

Excellent! Having 6 of them is a testament to your satisfaction with REL.

I have always been impressed with REL subs when they were well setup. My local dealer carried them for many years and they were used quite a bit with the various speakers he carried.

Sonus Faber and REL were always a very synergistic match. I was at the Elipsa unveiling many years ago and there was a big REL sub in the system that was setup by Bill (metaphacts).

Yikes! Talk about holographic presentation! The musicians took a few steps out of the speakers and stood on the floor as if they were real. That's what a great, fast sub that does not compete but "augments" the speaker, can do for a system.

Enjoy!

New toys in the house: last night I picked up from my local dealer a new Rega P10 table and Koetsu Rosewood Signature Platinum cartridge. Setup took just about an hour (I prefer to install a cartridge like this myself). It's a beautiful table. I love the simplicity of the design and engineering, the machining and production quality are awesome, and the ceramic cross-brace and mat finish make it look cool too. Sound so far is awesome: compared to the RP10 with Aphelion, the bass is better defined and more solid, mids are more full without being syrupy, and imaging is great. The highs are just a tad bright, but that should smooth out with breakin. Next up will be an HRS S3 base for it, courtesy of Ivan aka Masterlu.
