I have MC601's on my 802 D2's. I prefer McIntosh over the Classe amps I've heard . I've not had a chance to hear Bryston with B&W but I hear good things.

Compared Classe M600 to the MC 601
Hands down to the warmer sound of McIntosh

Go for min 175w into 8 ohms source. Folks driving their B&Ws with less don't know what they're missing out on.

This week I put a 200 watt amp in my system: NuPrime IDA-16. I've had my B&Ws for about a year and a half and it's like listening to a new speaker.

So I have to agree with your assessment, aardvarkbark.
