Default Herman Miller Lounger Is In The 2 Channel Room

Ok group hug. People have different prioreties so we should respect where they spent their money.

I own one of the 999 50th anniversary eames loung chairs and I have been using it quite a lot the last 10 years. This model has really soft nappa leathor and the wood is santos rosewood. Planning to send it back to the factory to be reupholstered - this would be $$$ - and then thinking to either stop using it or sell it. This chair is now worth $20k+ so I can get new one for $5k and keep the rest.

Thats a nice little investment. You get to use it for 10 years, get a new one and a profit. Nicely done!

If I find someone to buy it of course. I saw one for sale at that price a couple of years ago but do not really know if it ever sold.

Gentlemen.......Come on, take a deep breath, exhale, and let this difference of opinion fade into the wind. Nothing good ever comes from sparing with a keyboard.

Please don't make me bring in the cleanup crew. .

Serge.......Judging from your comments on lessons from your grandfather, I'd say he probably would have sharpened one edge of the keyboard just in case it became necessary.

Appreciate the deescalation.

No doubt and you have no idea Dan. Highly decorated WWII vet, went through the whole war all the way from Russia to Berlin, wounded twice, kept fighting against the Nazis like they all did until the last drop of blood and last breath. I remember him in his 70s as he would walk barefoot in the snow 2 miles each way with two buckets of water to bring the water from the mountain spring when he had running tap water in his house. He said it keeps him in shape. Then he would shovel 2 tons of coal that would be delivered and wouldn't not stop until he was done storing all the coal in the shed. Eames chairs.. HA!

I agree with Serge , the comment was kind of insulting that lead to this unfortunate situation. Let’s as Dan said take a deep breath and get back to being the friendly audio forum.

Who would have thought Eames chairs can have such an effect on grown men?
