Default Oklahoma City Memorial

Pardon the late date- due to the time difference in my location. but yesterday was the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing of the Murrah building and the sad loss of 168 lives. I was in the city that day, and it is something I will never forget, and try to take the time to remember the victims every year.

I remember exactly where I was and the exact moment I heard about it.

It happened during my last semester at OCU Law School. I was in a bankruptcy class that morning in the new law building. It was downstairs below ground level. Didn't hear a thing.

My friend Kent was at work downtown and was on the telephone with someone when it happened. The next thing he new he was lying on the other side of his office. His hearing didn't clear up for weeks.

I was in the Murrah building just a few days before the bombing doing some research for the attorney that I clerked for. The emotions that I had when I first saw what happened can't be described here.

My wife was also studying for her MBA at OCU as well. We were so looking forward to receiving our degrees together. Sadly, because the FBI took over the building where our commencement was supposed to take place, each school had to schedule commencements at a different location.

After all the years of blood, sweat and tears getting through our professional programs, to be denied the opportunity to graduate together pisses me off to this very day. My wife's mother had passed away only a few months before and she graduated alone, with no family to share it with.

Timothy Mcveigh can burn in hell for eternity. The maggot POS.

Thanks for listening.
