Really? I ordered the LP, and have only listened to the MP3 download so far, but other than her voice being a bit forward in the mix, I thought she did a good job with most of the material. IMHO
Regards,
Jim

I'm not talking about the sound quality or the music. Her voice is not capable of more than just basic talking through the lyrics. It's not even really singing.

I ordered and am waiting for the vinyl record from Amazon. Since they send you a free MP3 version, I listened to it in my car on the way to and from work yesterday. It sounded fine in the car but I will wait until I get the record to make a final judgement. My personal favorite cut was Night and Day.

I preordered this a month ago and now it's here. Two LPs but the the "side D" is completely blank as in NO groove nor line at all, perfect for checking and adjusting the Antiskate.

Mike, tracking says my vinyl copy will be here tomorrow, Sunday. Strange day for a delivery. I use Donald Fagen - Sunken Condos side 4 which is also blank to check anti-skate.

Today I purchased the digital download in 192/24 and as is often the case on her later albums, her voice is a bit too forward and prominent. Otherwise it sounds excellent to me and the quality rather makes up for the forward vocals.

Memo to Jim. Stop looking at Diana Krall threads.

I didn't purchase her last album and I'm not purchasing this one either. Talking through lyrics isn't singing in my opinion. Her voice, if you can call it that, and her emotional connection to the songs are lack luster, and that's putting it mildly. Diana Krall is a wonderful jazz pianist and arranger. Too bad she doesn't capitalize on that more. Her contributions to arranging and playing on the Paul McCartney album Kisses On The Bottom are excellent. That's where her talent is showcased, not singing. Nope, I won't spend my money on this release.

Just another opinion, wrong opinion, but an opinion nonetheless
