That's encouraging to hear Stephen. I'm in my early 60's and last March after having ablation surgery to correct my afib I decided it was time to loss some weight. 40 pounds lost by lifestyle eating habits but your words are inspiring me to add an exercise routine to the mix. My goal is an additional 40 pounds which would put me at the weight when I got married 40 years ago. My biggest problem with exorcising is finding time. That's not an excuse but when a typical day starts at 4:30 am and goes to 9-10 at night its hard to fit in other activities.

For 2024, I'm also going to find a local Pilates class as well.

I can still remembers how rejuvenated I felt after a hard workout. The release of serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine was addictive, in a good way of course. I like to think I can get back there.

Hi Doug, the most effective way I’ve found is to schedule it into my day, then it’ll get done. For example, some days, I don’t feel like doing my daily 7-minute workout before my shower when I get up in the morning. But, I do it anyway. And, here’s the thing, I inevitably feel better after I do my daily 7-minute workout, every single time. So, then I think, “Why were you reluctant to do your 7-minute workout today when you KNOW you feel better, every single time?” Goes to show how easily we can self-sabotage our best intentions, despite knowing better. So, I’ve adopted that tag-line from the old Nike commercials from years back: “Just DO it.”
