Like it says, this one is rather large, and it's heavy. Actually, they are all heavy except for the smaller ones. ( the last one with the green shade is smaller than these others but it's also heavy) I have a few that are smaller than these.

Well, the next one up is small, really small. It's the smallest lamp by far. Like it says, it's lined with mica AKA isinglass if your old enough. Isinglass[Eye-zen-glass] has another, animal based definition, but it's also another word for mica, a mineral. Yup, light through a 'rock'. Note the old, round switch on the cord.

This reminds me that I don't turn any of these lamps on & off by their switches (most with pull chains.) The reason is that they are all on dimmers, which is just as well because the switches are all original and, you know, old.

Oh, I just realized that after having said earlier that all the rest of these lamps look exactly like the pics when lit, this one doesn't either. The little pin holes in the brass let plenty of light through, but it doesn't show up at all here. That's a bummer 'cuz it looks really nice at night.

This big one and the first one are at the ends of a desk.

John.......All of those lamps are beautiful. I can see why you would want to own them.

Yep, that's me in the photo. Marlene and I were having breakfast at the Sun Spree Resort last September. The photo on the left I took of Marlene years ago when we were younger.

Ahh, younger... .I think I was younger once...

Hard to say, it would have been so long ago.

Well, I think I've gotten way off topic of the Opening Post. I can't remember what is was and I'm pretty sure I opened it !

I'll just post the "Klingon" one and maybe some more in a day or two. Someone might want to reply to whatever the OP was.

John.......I think the OP was about lights out!

Hey, it's your thread so take it wherever you wish. Lamps weren't too much of a stretch.

I think that all of these are special, but this on is extra special, IMHO so I'm posting all the pics of it.
It's hard to find any of these online with a simple search, apparently.( I mean any of the lamps I'm posting-I don't expect to see this particular model again)
It says Jungendstil Art Nouveau, but that's redundant as Jungendstil means Art Nouveau in za German. Notice in the last 2 pics how narrow the base is front to back. I wish it wasn't - it's top heavy as it is.

Thanks Dan
Well, for the second time tonight, I killed the wrong window and have to start over. I violated my own rule of, every so often, copying everthing as I'm typing, just in case. Also, I thought my wireless keyboard was acting up, but a wired one didn't help. I'll post some more tomorrow or maybe tonight. I want to watch The Revenant tonight.
Here is a pic I took (I see by the clock in it - a half hour ago). Left Coast time.

You can kinda see the Klingon lamp in it & one of my Curtis McIntosh clocks & one of the "Big Mac" speakers. I could have lightened it up or just used the flash but obviously didn't.

EDIT: In case someone doesn't know, you can rt click on this and open in a new window. Then you can zoom. At least with Windows. Don't know what to do on a Orange computer...Pear??... Scratch that, I mean Apple...I guess. ...Disclaimer/ confession: I've thought about going to Apple many times.

A few more:

Dan-san,
When I saw your lovely "Grandmother" lamp, I thought of this one. They don't really look alike, but I think it was the size, being the only one of mine like that.
